Spinning round and round through nothingness – in the vast emptiness of a relatively vacant universe, in a lonely, remote and insignificant galaxy – is a nearly perfectly rounded sphere weighing 5,972,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons.

It moves in an ever so slightly elliptical orbit around a comparably small star we call the sun, which has a core temperature of 27 million degrees. (It chills a little at the surface to 10 million degrees.) And lo. Here we are. Mere infinitely microscopic fractions.

No more cold – at least as the permanent state of affairs. No more dreariness. No more stillness.

Spring is the time to move outward, upward and to trek through the zeal of nature reawakening. Spring is our time to remember we are merely human and we have another opportunity to explore yet another horizon.
