The Highlands Food and Wine Festival will showcase culinary and musical talent Nov. 10-13 from all over the Southeast. At four different locations, chefs will prepare delicious food for festival attendees. Sophisticated flavors paired with carefully chosen wines will delight the palate.
Guests at The Park on Main®, the luxury hotel in downtown Highlands, will be able to take part and sample a variety of culinary options. Several chefs of note will be present for the festival. They include famous names from all over the United States. Numerous types of cuisine will be represented, from traditional European cuisine, to American standards, and exciting fusion options.
Meet The Talent
Adam Evans is a standout in Atlanta’s bustling culinary scene. Having worked with Jonathan Waxman at Brezza Cucina in Ponce City Market, Evans is known for his virtuosity with rustic Italian-style cooking.
Dano Holcombe operates the Root Down food cart in Asheville, NC. His specialty is Southern food, with elements of Creole and French cuisine dominating.
Meherwan Irani is known for the authentic Indian food he prepares at Chai Pani in Asheville, NC. He has been nominated for a number of James Beard awards.

All About The Festival
This year’s Highlands Food and Wine Festival features a variety of events that are sure to please the wine enthusiast. Consider the following:
- Grand Tasting: Kick things off opening night on Nov. 10 as famed Highlands restaurants will be featured along with wines, spirits and live music.
- Truckin: Take to the woods to enjoy craft brews, live music and delicacies from a variety of area food trucks on Nov. 11
- The Main Event: It’s the ultimate autumn oyster roast set for Nov. 12 featuring oysters, stews and chilis by local and visiting chefs. Enjoy craft brews, champagne and wine and an unforgettable performance by Rhiannon Giddens, founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops.
And then there’s Sip and Stroll Saturday, Gospel Brunch, Rockwood Rocks and Weekend Wine Dinners. Buy tickets for each separate event or consider a Weekend Pass for all the events.
