Bridal Veil Falls
This scenic waterfall is unique in every way. To catch a glimpse of this towering beauty, simply drive along Highway 64. Bridal Veil Falls is located right off the main road and can be accessed by car. Rain or shine, this mounting natural landmark delights spectators with its peaceful presence.
Dry falls
A gorgeous waterfall that you won’t want to miss while visiting Highlands! Standing 75-feet high and easily accessible by trail, visitors can get up close to this wonderous sight. Park your car atop the hill and make your way to the base of the falls. The emitted mist helps you cool off on a hot summer afternoon. Accessible observation areas are available at the edge of the parking lot.
Zip Lining
Head out to Highland Aerial Park for a fun-filled day of zip lining adventure. The park features multiple courses for guests of all ages to try. For thrill seekers, slide across the 1,550’ long course soaring at a massive height of 250’ above ground level. Each course gives zip liners the chance to glide through lush forests and take in the wonderous beauty of Highlands.
Hiking
Highlands is situated in the expansive piece of land known as the Nantahala National Forest. Hikers can take in the diverse flora and fauna with the guidance of the forest’s easy-to-navigate trails.
